Why the need for Native American Contexual ministry? Once again the Creator has shown us His answer through His love for the Native people as well as for all nations. His answer can to me at this weekend Sundance that my family were invited to. I was able to sing some songs that were honoring the Creator to shed his blessings upon the people as they asked for good things to come about through their participation.
As I sat and sung with the men around the drum, I knew without a doubt that the Great Spirit was also here in the circle around the tree where all the prayer request are tied to and at the same listening to someone else's prayer half way around the world is an answer that God's grace is always at work.
Once again I strongly experienced the Love of Christ telling me that he is listening and loves our First Nations people as they come before Him through their culture. How am I to say that the Lord will not be here or there within a cultural event. We just need to remember that the whole universe in under His control. That all differences among the created things and among the nations are there for a reason, that He is about color and variety in how we come before Him, as long as we give Him alone all the honor and glory due Him.
Through these cultural events and experiences we here at the Redroad In 4 Directions Ministry are starting to see some of the cultural keys need to share the gospel with our First Nations people. Many are so close and walking in the right direction to walking the red road with Christ as their Lord and Savior.
As I often say, I was more blessed by the people at the Sun Dance then me being a blessing to them. For this I give all the credit to Jesus the Great Warrior.
