We affirm that there is one eternal Creator, who also exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Great Spirit. We confess Christ as God’s son and as the one who reveals God and God’s will to humankind. We affirm the deity of Jesus Christ. He alone was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died on the cross, was resurrected, and is now seated in heaven. We affirm that many people reject the way of beauty and harmony on the red road. By trusting Christ alone for salvation through an act of faith one can be restored to walk the road of beauty. We affirm that the death on the cross and the resurrection brings new life, everlasting life with the Creator for all nations and tribes. We affirm that to live according to Jesus’ example, being led by the Great Spirit, is to respect Native Americans, including traditions, customs, and the work towards justice. We affirm that Jesus followers must be supportive of extended family who use traditional ways such as: weddings, rite of passage, dedication ceremonies, etc. Participation shows respect, maintains cultural identity, and is a witness for Jesus.
